FotoTrafiX Is Now a C2PA Conforming Product
FotoTrafiX has been formally assessed as conformant at Assurance Level 1 by the C2PA Conformance Program, and is being added to the public C2PA Conforming Products List. In plain terms: the way FotoTrafiX generates Content Credentials meets the C2PA technical standard.
What this means
C2PA is the open standard behind Content Credentials, the tamper-evident record of where a piece of media came from and what happened to it. Passing the conformance program is a formal, independent check that our implementation does it correctly. Our record, applicant Air4media LLC, product FotoTrafiX, now sits on the same public list as the other tools building toward a verifiable media future.
What it covers
FotoTrafiX is conformant for generating Content Credentials across the formats press and event photographers actually use: JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WebP and HEIC images, and MP4 and MOV video, against C2PA specification 2.2.
Why it matters
In a feed full of AI-generated imagery, proving where a photo came from is becoming as important as the photo itself. Provenance has always been our DNA: every file FotoTrafiX produces already carries full IPTC and EXIF metadata. C2PA Content Credentials are the cryptographic next step, provenance that survives publication and can be verified by anyone. Conformance is how the standard confirms we build it to spec.
What is next
Conformance is the milestone. The final step is the signing certificate from a certificate authority on the C2PA trust list. Once that is issued, FotoTrafiX will sign Content Credentials in production, and we will tell you the day it goes live.
